The founder's story
"I was great at my trade. I was terrible at running a business."
"When I first started, I thought being great at my product was enough. It wasn't.
Very quickly, I found myself buried under sales calls, managing difficult staff, stressing over cash flow, and trying to figure out legal and marketing on the fly. I was working 14-hour days, making expensive mistakes, and pretending I had it all together because as the boss, you can't show weakness to your team.
The turning point came when I stopped trying to be the hero who knew everything and finally got into a room with other business owners. I realised two things: I wasn't alone in the struggle, and I didn't have to learn every painful lesson the hard way. That's why the Business Owners Collective was born."
